This disclaimer explains the terms that govern our service, your rights as a customer, and how disputes are resolved. We're registered under GST and comply with Indian packing and moving standards.

Service Scope & Limitations

What We Cover

• Household goods movement — furniture, appliances, boxes, documents within Gurgaon and NCR.
• Packing materials — corrugated boxes, bubble wrap, kraft paper, tape (unless you opt for your own).
• Labour — trained crew for loading, unloading, and basic stacking at destination.
• Vehicle transit — dedicated or shared transport based on your move size and locality (Sector 29, Sohna Road, MG Road, etc.).

What We Do NOT Cover

• Damage from pre-existing conditions — items already chipped, broken, or in poor condition before our crew arrived.
• High-value items — jewellery, cash, securities, artwork valued above ₹2 lakh require special insurance (separate premium). Declare these in writing during quotation.
• Perishable goods — food, plants, medicines, or temperature-sensitive items are your responsibility to transport.
• Illegal or hazardous materials — explosives, acids, firearms, or items banned under Indian law.
• Transit delays due to traffic or weather — while rare in same-day moves starting ₹2,999, unforeseeable road closures or severe conditions may delay delivery by up to 24 hours. We notify you immediately.
• Third-party property damage — if our vehicle damages public infrastructure or a neighbour's property, liability is capped at the move cost or actual assessed damage (whichever is lower), unless proved negligence.

Pricing & Payment Terms

No Hidden Fees — How Our Pricing Works

Our quoted price from ₹2,999 for a 1-BHK Gurgaon-local move (e.g. Sector 49 to Sector 57) includes labour, packing materials, vehicle, and basic loading/unloading. The itemized invoice you receive lists:

• Base move charge — varies by distance (Sushant Lok to Cyber City = ~₹4,500 for 1.5-BHK).
• Packing material cost — boxes, tape, bubble wrap (if provided by us).
• GST at 5% or 12% — depending on service type and invoice value.
• Parking/toll charges — if applicable (e.g. gated societies in DLF Phases often charge ₹200–₹500 per entry).

You will never be charged extra fees on the day of move for items already listed in the quote. Any additional request (e.g. extra packing, multiple floors, extended waiting time) will be quoted separately before work begins.

Payment & Refunds

• Advance payment — typically 30–50% to confirm booking; balance due on move day (cash, UPI, cheque, NEFT accepted).
• Cancellation within 24 hours of scheduled move — advance paid is forfeited (no refund).
• Cancellation 24+ hours before move — 50% of advance retained; balance returned within 5 working days to your bank.
• Move rescheduling — subject to crew availability; no additional charge if rescheduled within 7 days of original date.

Liability & Insurance

Standard Coverage

Gurgaon Packers Movers holds liability insurance for all moves. Our crew is trained to handle household goods safely, and we provide packing and protective wrapping as standard. However, standard liability caps claims at the move cost or ₹10,000 per item (whichever is lower). This is stated on your invoice and applies unless you purchase optional enhanced insurance.

Optional Insurance Add-On

For moves involving high-value furniture, electronics, or antiques, we offer comprehensive coverage at ₹500–₹1,500 extra (depending on declared value). This raises the liability cap to 90% of declared value. You must list insured items in writing and add a legible photograph. Claims are processed within 7 days of filing a formal complaint with supporting documentation (photos, receipts, repair quotations).

What Is NOT Covered by Insurance

• Damage due to your instructions (e.g. "stack heavy items on top of the sofa").
• Items not professionally packed or declared.
• Acts of God (earthquake, flood, riot) — standard exclusion in Indian moving insurance.
• Consequential loss (cost of re-purchase, rent during delay, etc.).

Your Responsibilities as a Customer

• Accurate inventory — provide a complete, truthful list of items being moved. Omitted high-value items void insurance coverage.
• Secure access — ensure building gates, apartment doors, and parking at both locations are accessible on move day. Gated societies in Sector 29, Sohna Road, and Cyber City require prior entry passes; you must arrange these.
• Remove valuables — jewellery, documents, laptops, and small electronics must be transported by you personally.
• Arrange utilities — cancellation of internet, electricity, water, gas, and deposits is your responsibility. We move only goods.

Complaint & Dispute Resolution

How to Lodge a Complaint

If there is damage, delay, or a billing dispute, contact us within 48 hours of move completion via phone (+91 9911076600), email, or our website. Provide photos, the invoice, and a written description. Our team will acknowledge within 24 hours and investigate.

IBA Standards & Escalation

Gurgaon Packers Movers is IBA-approved (Code MUO-2547) and adheres to the Indian Bureau of Removals' code of conduct. If internal resolution fails within 14 days, you have the right to escalate to the IBA for mediation at no cost. The IBA's decision is binding and typically resolves disputes within 30 days of filing.

Legal Jurisdiction

All disputes shall be governed by the laws of India and the jurisdiction of courts in Gurgaon, Haryana. Binding arbitration under the Indian Arbitration & Conciliation Act, 1996, may be initiated by either party to avoid lengthy litigation.

Data & Privacy

Your phone number, address, and inventory details are collected to process your move quote and booking. We comply with Indian data protection standards and do not share your information with third parties without consent, except where legally required (e.g. GST filing, police verification). Your data is retained for 2 years post-move for warranty and claim purposes.

Terms Validity & Updates

These terms are effective from our establishment in 2018 and updated periodically to reflect operational and regulatory changes. Material changes will be notified via email or phone. Continued use of our service after notification constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
